Material Used for Compound Wall:

The materials that are commonly utilized are as follows:

Boundaries don't have to be simple walls that demarcate a residential zone; after all, they're an extension of your home. Why not treat them like a painting that makes a great first impression and serves as a work of art to behold every time you enter your home?

Wall treatments, design elements, and materials that complement the building's outside face and surroundings can be used to enhance boundary walls. This is your home, and you see it every day, so why not add to the atmosphere you create for the rest of the world by being here? With the help of decorators like these, you'll be able to brighten up any room!

Bricks

Bricks are still the most popular material for building compound walls, even though many other options exist. Most homeowners choose brick walls when they want a rustic look. Exposed brick walls have become popular in housing societies and feature walls in people's homes.

Even though exposed bricks can be used to improve the look of any simple compound wall, they work best with brick-clad home exteriors.

Planks of Wood

In India today, more and more urban home facades are made of wood. Seasoned wood can cover an existing composite wall or replace the whole wall as a structural unit. Tinting wood planks could be a fun DIY project for the whole family to do together. It would give everyone a sense of being creatively involved in making the house look nice.

Treated wood planks that are ready to use come in many colors and styles and can be used outside right away. Give your home's boundary wall a modern look. Many different wood panel styles make them a great way to update your home.

Plaster of Paris

Because of its physical properties, wet cement plaster can be carved to create motifs, graphic patterns, sculptures, and murals. You can also hire an artist to create unique, personalized designs directly on the compound wall.

If you don't want to go through the trouble of making them on the site, you can buy them ready-made on the market. Something like this would undoubtedly pique people's interest. Make a lovely front boundary wall for your house.

Boards made of PVC

Installing machine-made fiber or PVC boards on the compound wall takes less time than creating 3D patterns or weaves. These sheets can be screwed to the wall base and come in various styles and colors. Hang the sheets in a straight line for a clean look, or cut them into shapes and screw them to the wall in a random pattern.

Tiles made of stone

Regardless of the structural frame and material used in its construction, the face of a compound wall can be coated with thin stone slabs or ledges using cement plaster and other binding agents. Stone is a tactile and rustic material that is available in an infinite number of colors and textures. Geometrically cut shapes or mosaic patterns can be used to customize dynamic compositions. However, tile and grout cleaning is necessary to keep walls gleaming.

Types of Compound Walls:

1. Masonry Compound Wall Design Pattern

Masonry walls are typically constructed with laterite stones, red clay or fly ash bricks, steel, and cement mortar. The construction of such walls begins 2 feet below ground level to ensure that the wall receives adequate anchorage.

The masonry wall's height is between 5'-6,' and its thickness is 15 cm (6 "). Following excavation, a PCC of 100 mm thickness and 600 mm width is laid to create a uniform surface on which to apply the wall. Following that, rubble masonry of approximately 450 mm width and 2′ height is built beneath the brick wall to transfer the load of the above-built structure.

After curing the masonry wall, we can apply cement plaster to both sides of the border before painting.

2. Ornamental Compound Wall Design Pattern

The decorative Compound wall is constructed of masonry walls and mild steel/stainless steel grills. This type of wall is built to a height of 3-5 feet. After that, we can apply cement plaster and paint over it.

We can install mild or stainless steel grills above this masonry wall depending on the decoration and security needs.

3. Cladding Compound Wall

Visitors or passers-by see home front boundary wall designs when they pass a newly built or renovated house; cladding compound walls use cladding materials such as vitreous tiles and marble panels.

These are typically installed over more traditional masonry walls and then overlaid to add aesthetic appeal. These fences, however, are best suited for high-end bungalows.

4. Precast Compound Wall

Precast walls are typically made of steel and concrete and are widely regarded as the ideal residential boundary wall design.

Precast walls are used in a variety of locations because they are quick and easy to install. They are manufactured in a factory and then transported to the site. Furthermore, the entire construction process is completed in a short period.

If the homeowner desires, compound wall elevation can be performed to elevate the wall in specific locations so as not to interfere with the ecology, or for any other reason, the homeowner deems appropriate.

Precast compound walls are less expensive than masonry compound walls because they are manufactured in a factory and transported to the job site, but they still have a modern compound wall design pattern. The price varies greatly depending on the design and customization needed.

5. Security Compound Wall

These walls are commonly constructed in military bases, cantonment areas, government offices, and police camps where security is of the utmost importance. When security is a top priority, such walls are built for the commoner if the owner likes them and can finance the wall.

These front boundary wall designs are built with protection and all being kept out unless the owner wants them in.

The boundary wall design with gates is also common in gated communities. Compound wall designs with grills are common in apartment buildings and residential complexes with large windows. They help to keep small children, pets, and unwanted beings out.

Numerous home boundary wall designs are available, but you must choose the one that best suits your needs and stick with it. Compound walls or boundary walls are not only elements that provide security and privacy, but they also serve as a home's exterior face.

If you are tired of the plain concrete compound wall and want to be creative with new materials to develop a unique compound wall design, a house compound wall design can add to the style quotient and set your home apart from your neighbors.

6. Brick Compound Wall Design Pattern

Construction of brick boundary wall:
  • Firstly, the area is excavated up to 4′ – 5′.
  • At the bottom of the excavation, the soil is uniformly compacted. Then, at the bottom, a brick flat soling is laid.
  • The PCC is installed above the brick flat soling. Then a Trapezoidal footing is built on top of it.
  • Following the completion of the base, the tie beam is constructed with a thickness of 10′′.
  • The column is constructed to protect the boundary wall from failure.
  • The brickwork is done over a tie beam, which adds security.
  • Coping is then applied above the brickwork, also known as bandwidth.
